THE BEST Chocolate Chip Cookies
I don’t want this to come off dramatic but this recipe is amazing. I first made it when I was in school and never looked back. The oat flour just makes it all.
**mixer is recommended for this recipe**
Prep Time:15 minutes
Cook Time:10-12 minutes
Total Time:30 minutes (ish)
- (285 grams) 1 ½ sticks of unsalted butter (room temperature)
- (285 grams) 1 ½ cups Light brown sugar
- (228 grams) 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 2 Eggs (better if room temperature)
- 2 tablespoon vanilla extract
- (485 grams) 3 ¾ cups All purpose flour
- (60 grams) ½ cup oat flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- ½ teaspoon Baking powder
- Pinch Salt
- 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chip (or any chocolate of choice)
- Sea salt to sprinkle on top
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350F (176C)
In a mixing bowl add your butter + light brown sugar + sugar and cream (mix) until light in color and fluffy (using the flat beater attachment)
Add eggs (I like to whisk them with a fork before so they are well combined) and vanilla until well combined.
Slowly add your flours + baking soda + baking powder and salt and mix on low speed until JUST combined (you don’t want to over mix this dough)
Add chocolate chips of your choice (I like to mix white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate) and fold it or mix on low for just a few seconds
Scoop out to a baking sheet (or freeze and use whenever you want!)
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until flat ish and golden
