THE BEST Chocolate Chip Cookies

November 9, 2023

I don’t want this to come off dramatic but this recipe is amazing. I first made it when I was in school and never looked back. The oat flour just makes it all.

**mixer is recommended for this recipe**

Prep Time:15 minutes

Cook Time:10-12 minutes

Total Time:30 minutes (ish)

Ingredients for the Cookie Dough:
  • (285 grams) 1 ½ sticks of  unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • (285 grams) 1 ½ cups Light brown sugar
  • (228 grams) 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 Eggs (better if room temperature)
  • 2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • (485 grams) 3 ¾ cups All purpose flour
  • (60 grams) ½ cup oat flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon Baking powder
  • Pinch Salt
  • 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chip (or any chocolate of choice)
  • Sea salt to sprinkle on top

Step 1
How to start

Preheat the oven to 350F (176C)

Step 2

In a mixing bowl add your butter + light brown sugar + sugar and cream (mix) until light in color and fluffy (using the flat beater attachment)

Step 3

Add eggs (I like to whisk them with a fork before so they are well combined) and vanilla until well combined.

Step 4

Slowly add your flours + baking soda + baking powder and salt and mix on low speed until JUST combined (you don’t want to over mix this dough)

Step 5

Add chocolate chips of your choice (I like to mix white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate) and fold it or mix on low for just a few seconds

Step 6

Scoop out to a baking sheet (or freeze and use whenever you want!)

Step 7

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until flat ish and golden
