Strawberry Pop-Tart

March 11, 2024

Homemade pop-tart are so easy and yet so delicious. I mean, who doesn’t like a flakey, buttery and fruity treat?? I sure do!

**I do recommend using a food processor for this recipe**

Fridge Time :45 minutes

Prep Time:5 minutes

Cook Time:15 minutes

Total Time:1 hour and 5 minutes

Ingredients for the dough:
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 stick unsalted butter (cold)
  • 2/3 cup water (cold)
  • 1/2 cup of strawberry jam

Instructions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350F(176C)

Step 2

In a food processor, add all of your ingredients.

If you don't have a food processor, use a mixing bowl and add your dry ingredients first (flour, sugar & salt). Yes, I know sugar is not actually a dry ingredient but for this recipe this is how I do it.

Step 3

Pulse the food processor until you get a dough. DO NOT OVER MIX.

If you're using a bowl, add your wet ingredients (butter, water & vanilla). Use your hands and mix everything until you get a dough.

Step 4

Once your dough is ready, shape it into a square (but try to not touch it TOO much so the butter doesn't melt). Cover your dough and refrigerate for a minimum of 45 minutes.

Step 5

After 45 minutes, roll out your dough to be pretty thin and shape into rectangles. Add your jam to one side of the dough and make a sandwich.

Step 7

Seal your "sandwich" with a fork and make sure to poke some holes on the top.

Step 8

Bake for about 15 minutes. Make your icing (optional). Mix your powdered sugar and water until silky smooth and put aside.

Step 9

Optional is to add icing on top + freeze dry strawberries and of course some glitter. and ENJOY! x

I’m so glad I found your TikTok! I love how you have all of your recipes and the outcomes in your video. The glitter MAKES it every time. I was wondering when you had the chunks of butter in the dough, did they melt everywhere when you were cutting in and rolling it?

One stick of butter? Or one cup of butter?
