Homemade Toffee Sauce
If you have caramel, you’re going to LOVE this toffee sauce. It’s creamier, thicker and goes well with just everything. It’s the perfect sauce to add to anything + is good to keep in the fridge for a month!
Prep Time:10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes
- 1 cup brown sugar sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
in a heavy-duty saucepan, add your brown sugar, butter and heavy cream and cook over medium heat.
After about 4 minutes, things will start to melt and you have to just stir if every so often.
Once there are bubbles, lower the heat until you have a light (ish) brown color sauce.
Turn off the heat and move your pan so it's no longer on a hot surface and add in your salt and vanilla and stir.
That's it, you have toffee sauce! I like to store mine in a mason jar or any glass container that has a cover. Store it in the fridge for up to a month or so and enjoy!!
